Sit ups for back pain? Not always.

In my practice I've seen many people who did sit ups as part of their daily exercise routine and ended up with back pain. They never imagined their sit ups could be a cause of their back pain. Some of them even continued away doing sit ups as if this would cure the pain. Don't do that! Please!
Some back pains can be alleviated and prevented by building muscles on your front side but some are worsened. There are variety of reasons you have back pain and some are caused by overly strong muscles on your front side. If you focus on building six pack abs and forget about your back muscles, your body may lose its balance and sprain back joints or strain back muscles.
